# OpenBLE

> OpenBLE publishes open Bluetooth protocol libraries and manuals for devices people own, with a searchable index of protocols, exact models, capabilities and compatibility evidence.

The device index distinguishes protocols with reusable libraries from documentation-only entries. Check each model's recorded evidence and limitations before claiming compatibility or live-device testing. A documented protocol does not necessarily have an installable library or a hub integration. The source repository is the reference for current APIs and setup instructions.
